David Andrew Smith, 51, of Chicago passed away on May 21, 2022.  Born in Waukegan, IL, David spent most of his childhood in Glasgow, KY. He moved back to Illinois for his high school years, graduating from Carmel High School in Mundelein. He continued his education at the University of Illinois, where he formed lifelong friendships as a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.  Graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994, David worked for many years in the commercial contracting business creating HVAC systems for several of Chicago’s high-rises.  He is survived by his sons Maddux Smith and Hunter Smith of Chicago, their mother, Jill Brown, his Uncle Richard (Karen) Bush of Long Grove, and many friends.  David is proceeded in death by his mother, Judith (Bush) Smith and his grandfather, Richard E. Bush.
